TOGETHER WE CAN

MOVING AT THE SPEED OF TRUST

MFJN is a collaboration of individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities Metro Area partnering to advance racial equity by transforming our food system. We center communities that are most affected by systemic racism in the food system; Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), through collective power and shared resources.

Since 2021, Metro Food Justice Network has grown, adapted and developed into a living thing that carries on the legacies of the Metro Food Access Network and the Minnesota Food Charter Network, while bringing some of the principles of the global Social Gastronomy Movement here to Minnesota. The Backbone Organizations have been instrumental in getting the network to this point, and we are grateful to them for helping incubate MFJN.
