Mission |Â MFJN is a collaboration of individuals and organizations in the Twin Cities Metro Area partnering to advance racial equity by transforming our food system. We center communities that are most affected by systemic racism in the food system; Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), through collective power and shared resources.
Vision | MFJN envisions a support system to increase capacity of Twin Cities Metro Area Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in reclaiming ownership and control of the food system‒ the right to grow, sell, access, and eat food that is fresh, nutritious, affordable, culturally-appropriate, and grown with integrity for the well-being of the people, land and animals. Food justice leads to a strong, local food system; a sustainable environment; community healing; and collective freedom.
